Hi, I’m Sydney. Professional pole vaulter, lover of all things home, wife, dog mom, and home owner.

I pole vaulted at Indiana University and after graduating in 2017, I am now on the journey of vaulting professionally with the goal of making an Olympic or Worlds team. I spend my mornings working in the athletic department at IU and my afternoons/evenings training with my collegiate coach and my best friend as my training partner. Every day the goal is to be better than the day before and keep pushing the bar higher.

I love pole vault. But I also love all things home. If I could make a living making and selling decor furniture, remodeling homes, and rehabbing old furniture, I would. My happy place is with the garage door up on a warm, sunny day working on a project for our home, or for someone else. I love the before and after pictures. I love the thought of restoring a piece of furniture back to something that someone, somewhere is going to love again. I love creating something that is going to be treasured by many and create a space that welcomes. These are just “things” but they make up much more than that in our lives. They create spaces that encourage moods and lifestyles and… us.

This is the place where my passions are coming together. I have created a blog to inspire and share my story, while also serving as a place to sell handmade home decor. I will use the profits from these projects to help fund my pole vault dreams. So, take a look and if you don’t see something you like, I am always happy to work on custom projects or, if you are local, refinish a piece of furniture for you that could use some new life.
